As a business owner, if you are anything like me, you have been putting everything into building your business.

You’ve probably taken a few risks along the way, worked crazy hours, and sacrificed time with family and friends, because you are and were determined to succeed.

All that said, I’ve got news for you – whether you have planned it from day one or never given it much thought, one thing will definitely happen.

You are EXITING your business one day

One day you are going to either walk out never to come back, maybe you’ll get pushed out, be bought out. Or be carried out! What a thought.

If this is so important, why is there so little written about it in the business world? Everything in the business world is about growth, marketing and success. Little about how we get out alive.

There are a multitude of books and advice on the social media platforms about start-ups, working the ‘gig’ economy, scaling up and just about everything about being a business owner.

And yet there’s little advice about the complex art and science of ensuring a successful exit – yet it is probably the most important step on the entire entrepreneurial journey.

After all, did we not start our businesses to create FREEDOM for ourselves and our families.

Unfortunately, the failure rate on exiting business is high.

Research confirms that:

Around 75% of business owners regretted selling their business one year after the sale.

Only 5% were happy with the net sale proceeds they received.

These statistics are heart-breaking when you think of all the blood, sweat and tears that go into building a successful business.

So, I’m on a mission to change things, improve the EXIT prospects for business owners.

I’ve spent the last 3 decades of my working career working closely with business owners and ensuring they ‘finish big’ and move on to their next chapter with a spring in their step.

I’ve learned that when it comes to making sure they leave with a sense of pride, accomplishment, energy, and financial security.

There is little doubt in my mind, that this takes as much effort and planning as it does to get a business up and running in the first place.

Business Owners and Entrepreneurs are a rare breed who deserve to have access to the best ideas and insight.
